== Epidemiology == MG occurs in all ethnic groups and both sexes. It most commonly affects women under 40 and people from 50 to 70 years old of either sex, but it has been known to occur at any age. Younger people rarely have thymoma. Prevalence in the United States is estimated at between 0.5 and 20.4 cases per 100,000, with an estimated 60,000 Americans affected. In the United Kingdom, an estimated 15 cases of MG occur per 100,000 people. The mortality rate of MG is around 5-9%.

==== Lung cancer ==== A prospective clinical study (NCT05835570) involving 58 participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) compared the diagnostic performance of 68Ga-Trivehexin PET/CT with 18F-FDG PET/CT. Both radiotracers showed similar diagnostic accuracy (100%, 58/58) for the detection of primary tumors. The sensitivity for detection of lymph node metastases was comparable for 68Ga-Trivehexin (80%) and 18F-FDG (72%), but 68Ga-Trivehexin showed a higher specificity (93.8%) and accuracy (91.2%) than 18F-FDG (62.5% and 64.2%, respectively). Sensitivity for detecting brain metastasis was 92.3% for 68Ga-Trivehexin and 38.5% for 18F-FDG, mainly because of the high glucose consumption of normal brain tissue, which usually results in a high physiological uptake of 18F-FDG in the brain, generating a strong background signal which frequently obscures brain metastases in PET images (see image). Application of 68Ga-Trivehexin PET was reported for single cases of other, rare forms of lung cancer, such as bronchial mucoepidermoid carcinoma and mucinous lung adenocarcinoma.
On 4 March, at the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo on Developments in the Palestinian Issue, Arab leaders adopted a $53 billion plan proposed by Egypt that did not involve displacing Palestinians from the Strip. The plan was to create an interim committee of "independent, professional Palestinian technocrats" to govern Gaza to prepare for the Palestinian Authority’s return. Hamas said that it would not bring its own candidates to the proposed governing committee but that it would need to give its permission in regards to the committee’s tasks, members and agenda. Mahmoud Abbas said that he would be prepared to hold elections, which Hamas welcomed. The summit released an AI-enhanced presentation showing modern housing developments, as well as blueprints for resorts and attractions. The plan was to seek international funding. The plan outlines a six-month phase of recovery providing temporary housing for 1.5 million displaced Palestinians within seven sites in Gaza, followed by a two-stage reconstruction program: a two-year first stage of $20 billion and a 2.5 year second stage of $30 billion. The New York Times reported the funding for the plan remains unclear as Gulf states will be reluctant to invest in rebuilding Gaza only to see it destroyed again if violence returns. The Israeli foreign ministry said the plan had "outdated" outlooks and rejected the plan's dependence on the Palestinian Authority, adding that Hamas would be given power by the plan.
Officials involved in the hepatitis B vaccination programs say that in many of China's poverty-stricken rural areas, children are delivered at home in remote mountain villages or nomadic herders' tents, far from hospitals and access to medical information. The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) have conducted research that supports the evidence that "there was and is still a huge bottleneck to ensure the delivery of the timely birth dosage to home births". Another problem is the growing size of China's migrant labor force or "floating population." Farmers or peasants who become urban laborers move frequently around the country and often do not seek medical attention. The immunization rate among them remains low, said China CDC. One major problem facing Chinese people infected with hepatitis B is that illegal blood testing is required by most employers in China. Anyone that tests positive for hepatitis B is either denied employment or fired. Laws do exist to protect the privacy of employees and job seekers but they are not enforced.

=== Surgical anatomy for nasal reconstruction === The human nose is a sensory organ that is structurally composed of three types of tissue: (i) an osseo-cartilaginous support framework (nasal skeleton), (ii) a mucous membrane lining, and (iii) an external skin. The anatomic topography of the human nose is a graceful blend of convexities, curves, and depressions, the contours of which show the underlying shape of the nasal skeleton. Hence, these anatomic characteristics permit dividing the nose into nasal subunits: (i) the midline (ii) the nose-tip, (iii) the dorsum, (iv) the soft triangles, (v) the alar lobules, and (vi) the lateral walls. Surgically, the borders of the nasal subunits are ideal locations for the scars, whereby is produced a superior aesthetic outcome, a corrected nose with corresponding skin colors and skin textures.
